Dairy Entry Week 14/11/16 to 18/11/16 Radio Production

Monday 14th October -

Today we finished all of the audio we needed to begin putting the pieces together. we began to start the edit for the first draft so that we could get feedback for the final edit. we started editing early so we had ample time to really perfect the product we here making so that it could be the best possible version of what we were trying to create. to get more people involved and to make it a quicker experience we decided that we would co - edit the show so the job as given to me and josh. we decided that we would take turns as we edited throughout the day so that the experience did not become to stressful and that people could take breaks so that they could come back with a better idea and perspective on the radio production. To help us both getter understanding off Logic pro we watched videos such as this ( https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=e6Z080Jdsz4) and this (https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=2dn4Sf6aUAE) as to help with us on the edit and to make it an easier experience overall. It was hard in the beginning because of how new this program was to us and with such a mass of sounds we needed to uses it seemed quite daunting however we managed to get used to some of the workings quickly and made progress.

Tuesday 15th October -

Today we started where we left off last editing session and I began looking for sound effects to make the scenes more real that we were working on. As i found this very difficult because lots of the sounds were very specific josh also decided to help me in finding some effects to use. As soon as we started editing and we both knew that be may have bitten off more than me can chew with the variety of sounds we would need to create a very immersive atmosphere with the level of detail we needed to convey to the audience. To make this easier for ourselves we needed to even the workload between me and josh as to make sure it wasn't to much for us both and that it could be continuously edited when one person had done long amounts of work.

In the industry team work is very important in completing projects that you have decided to do. To get a better understanding I found a video that was very helpful (http://smallbusiness.chron.com/importance-teamwork-organizational-setting-23333.html). Working together was extremely helpful in the way we did are jobs as it made finding things such as specific sounds or getting pre-production done efficiently and quickly. Me and Josh both worked together both used are skills in media to make such a complicated project easier to complete and to be able to finish it in the time given to us. In an organised setting our team work make the production better and more interesting as our ideas mixed together to create what we had so far, this can be said for other productions in media as teamwork is a necessity in having a successful project.
