Directors Commentry Evaluation

Quantitative Research

What kind of quantitative research did you find?
- we managed to find evidence of how much the game had sold worldwide. we also found out the sales figures for the game and how well the game sold. the location for the target audience which was western audiences

Qualitative Research

Metacritic was a very good source for reviews and other peoples opinions to show how well the people took the game and rated it. we managed to research quotes from the makers of the game and what they thought about there target audience. we created a focus group which provided use with information from people are age who had never played the game to give a opinion on the game itself. ratings from 'IGN' where a good source of reviews and what the game was targeted at from a higher and more reliable location.

Which is more useful to the gaming industry and why?

Quantitative research was the most useful on gathering research for our directors commentary as it tells you more reliable information that is very creditable about the game itself and its audiences.

which has been more useful to you? why?

Quantitative research was more reliable for me as it was used to find what the target audience was and with very creditable and informative evidence to back it up, there was also research for the types of people that want to play using Psychographics to back that up.
